Should I pre-register to attend Winter Rendezvous 2008? A. Yes, you will save money if you pre-registration ********** Q.May I just show and register when I arrive Stowe? A. Yes, but only if you have a confirmed reservation at one of the four participating hotels (see lodging)you may register onsite in the commodres inn lobby for the full ($150) or weekend ($135) package. An additional $10 processing fee will apply. cash or credit card accepted. If you are not staying at one of the WR hotels you may pay as you go. see below for pricing. ************ Q. What if I'm NOT registered for Winter Rendezvous and only want to attend some of the events, what will each one cost? If I'm registered for the Weekend Package ($135) will I be able to attend prime rib dinner or the Ice breaker party Thursday night? A. NO, The weekend pass ($135) is not valid for any of Thursdays events. You are better off upgrading to a full package ($150) before the event starts. You may pay at the door for Thursdays events, see prices above. Q. I am a registered participant, Will I receive a package in the mail? What should I do when I arrive in Stowe? A: No, you will not receive a package in the mail. When you arrive stop by the Commodores Inn. There will be a hospitality desk in the lobby. There you will pick up your welcome packet, it will contain your credentials, a detailed schedule of events and a host of other surprises. ********** Q. Which scheduled activities must I sign-up in advance for? Snowshoe Tour (Intermediate) with Umiak Snowshoe Tour for Beginners with Umiak, Cross County Skiing womens Only Dinner (Saturday) Sign up sheet is at the hospitiality table in the Commodores Inn lobby. ********** Q. What is the closet airport to Stowe? A. The Burlington International airport (BTV) is located 40 min from Stowe. Q. How do I get from the BTV airport to my hotel? A. You may rent a car at the airport or use the one of the van services. Pegs Taxi or The Blazer (802) 253-0013. (Note: It is cheaper to rent a car) ********** Q. Should I rent a car? A. You should consider the idea, things are spread out in stowe, you will want to go off-site for dinner, shopping, etc... The cost of a 5 day economy rental is about the same price of the van service. ********** Q. What if I or my partner does not ski? A. Some participants are non-skiers, and come for the social aspect, the entertainment, or winter activities other then skiing, there are plenty to choose from. You will not be board! ********** Q.
